Somehow being at Uni doesn’t feel like any other place on Earth. People say they come back a different person and I can already see what they mean.
Yesterday when I got up I didn’t think ‘oh crap I have to get ready for a lecture’, it was more like ‘Oh yeah, I can wander down and listen to the course director talk for a bit.’
Being only a 10 minute walk away from everything makes you want to go and explore because you know it won’t take long. I’ve found more interesting places in the past three days than I did in 18 years living in Hook.
I’ve spoken to more people too. People who say Coventry is a horrible place to live are wrong. Very wrong. I’ve met so many people with interesting stories, but before I would have avoided them because I would have been worried they were going to rape me.
Even now, walking to the studio, I’ve helped a guy who needed directions and passed loads of people that I’ve just met randomly in bars, clubs, pubs or even just walking in the street.
I think I’ve changed already and I’ve been here just over 4 days.
