GPOYW #12 - I have only just had a shower and got dressed. In fact I’ve been so lazy today that I haven’t even opened my curtains, and now there’s no point because it’s dark.
Also, how do you think my semi-beardyness looks?

BBC NEWS | England | London | Johnson saves woman from ‘oiks’
London mayor Boris Johnson has rescued a woman who was being attacked by an armed group of young girls, chasing them down the road on his bicycle.
Franny Armstrong called for help as she was surrounded and pushed by the girls, one of whom had an iron bar, in Camden, north London, on Monday night.
The mayor, who was cycling past, stopped and chased the girls down the street, calling them: “Oiks”.
Ms Armstrong said: “He was my knight on a shining bicycle.”

Good:
- If you’re bored of the music, there’s another two rooms or even outside to try instead
- When it’s busy there’s usually a decent atmosphere
- The DJ’s don’t just play the top 10 repeatedly with a few random but classic songs
- The smoking area isn’t like a goat pen at a summer fete, it’s actually a very nice place to be
- The bars are usually very quick to get served
Bad:
- Hot in the Left wing and sometimes it smells bad
- The queues on busy nights stretch for miles
- When people stand in the foyer and block people walking around
- To get back from the smoking area you have to go upstairs and back around
(in contrast, a JJ’s article like this would read “Good: Everything”)
You know....

She lies. She is beautiful.

British artist Stephen Wiltshire is currently attempting to draw the Manhattan skyline from memory. since Monday October 26th. Wiltshire began filling in an 18 foot canvas at the Pratt institute, Brooklyn. The drawing is expected to be complete by Friday. You can follow his progress through the live webcam here.
Wiltshire diagnosed with autism at the age of three displays an unusually powerful photographic memory that he has applied to rendering city scapes. He can look at the subject of his drawing once and reproduce it accurately with photographic detail, down to the exact number of columns or windows on a building. He memorizes their shapes, locations and the architecture.
This is amazing.
